PinExt Apple Butter Fruit Spread Zero Calories

Apple Butter Fruit Spread Zero CaloriesNow you can enjoy all the jelly, jams, and fruit spreads that you want without all the added sugar and calories. I recently discovered Walden Farms Calorie Free Fruit Spreads while shopping at Sprouts.

These fruit spreads are made with concentrated fruit extracts, splenda, and natural flavors, but no calorie, fat, carbs, gluten or sugars of any kind. I know there is controversy with splenda, but at least it’s not aspartame! Where do you stand with splenda?

There was a variety of fruit spreads to choose from, including strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and apricot, and orange, but when I saw Apple Butter, I just couldn’t resist. Obviously since it was a fruit spread it didn’t have the rich creamy taste of REAL apple butter, but it did had a great cinnamon apple flavor.

The best part was that you can use this one ingredient to spice up any meal! Here were a few recipes I used with my Walden Farms apple butter:

- Spread on toast  or a biscuit with small amount of butter

- Mixed with low fat yogurt, a small amount of honey, and Fiber One Cereal

- Combine with oatmeal, almond milk, raisins, and chopped up apples and a little bit of cinnamon

- Mixed in with frozen yogurt

- Swirl it into some fat free cottage cheese, raisins, sprinkled with Grapenuts Cereal

- Mixed with fat free cool whip and spread on a rice cake… tasted just like apple pie for only 50 calories!

Here is a pic of one of the many yummy recipes I made durning my afternoon snack icon smile Apple Butter Fruit Spread Zero Calories

That looks yummy! I have read the controversy about Splenda and I think some of it makes sense; however, I still use Splenda on a somewhat frequent basis.

I use splenda occasionally. That jam looks really tasty. I do my best to avoid aspartame, but there are the occasional things I eat that have that in it too. It’s hard for me to avoid it all together.

I’m a huge fan of Walden Foods. Thanks for the info, I’ve never seen this particular product. Sounds like a winner :)

Looks great but not sure if these are available in Canada. I will have to check it out as we do have the fat free dressings.

I don’t mind Splenda now and then. I use a generic sweetener but would like to give it up. I don’t mind stevia and am thinking of trying agave nectar.

I love their jams, but have had mixed experiences with their 0 calorie dressings.

I didn’t know you could buy them in a store, I always had to order them! I’ll have to look in my store to see if they sell them there

I’ve seen Walden foods but never tried them. I always am tempted to buy the marshmallow topping they have but it’s always too expensive!

YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I use Splenda. My tummy can’t handle Stevia & a lot of the other natural sweeteners. I know the controversary but I use it & I don’t get headaches from it & my stomach handles it too!

Thx for recommendation!

This looks good! I’ve tried other versions, but they always tasted a little ‘off’. I stopped eating splenda, and have switched to agave. It has calories, but is so tasty!(plus I can use less agave than I used splenda and other sweetners)

Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog! I’ve only tried Walden Farms Maple Syrup–it was pretty good! I’ll have to try the apple butter. Can’t wait to read more of your blog!

I have no trouble eating splenda… I care a lot less about it than when they sneak weird things into my food. high fructose corn syrup in whole wheat bread makes me mad. spelnda in low calorie jam? Count me in!

hmm i have been interested in tryign this, but i was reluctant bc most of walden farms products are duds…
not runny or artificial tasting?
DONT try the pb spread. it tasted like salty chemicals!
