I completed my first day of the combination of work and TurboFire… talk about a long day!

I keep debating on when I should workout on the days that I work. I figure I will have plenty of time to figure out which time works best for me and my body since this workout program is 90-days.

Yesterday I choose the later of my time frame and enjoy my few minutes of peace and quiet before the hospital sucks the life out of me!

I woke up at 5am with enough time to get ready and prepare my 4 meals for the day. I had all my meals already set for me since I’m doing the first week of TurboFire’s Inferno Plan for the first week of my workout!

Here are the meals I prepared for the hospital:

AM Wake Up Drink

CLICK Protein Espresso Drink w/ 2 cups Almond Milk

10:30 AM

Protein Pancakes

1:00 PM

Chicken and Hummus Wrap

4:00 PM

1 Medium Size Apple and 13 Almonds

I got home by 8pm and I was exhausted! Although I definitely debated if I should even workout, I soon laid that to rest with the push of the play button. I needed a little pick-me-up before my workout so I decided to make a protein shake as a pre-workout snack.

I was surprised at the amount of energy I actually had once I pressed play. Chalene Johnson definitely is a motivator! It was like she knew what I hitting my low points and would say something or do something to keep my head in the game, however I more than relieved when the time clock struck and the stretching it. Could you believe I was burning up to 9 calories per minute during my exercise?!?!? I just love my bodybugg.

Drenched from head to toe in sweat, I jumped in the shower and headed straight for the kitchen.

Yes, it was 9:30pm, however I was starving but I decided to follow the meal plan and eat as planned:

6oz Baked Chicken

1/3 cup Quinoa

1 cup Broccoli

… and I added a spoon of peanut butter

Some people say that eating late at night is bad. Yes, to some degree I will agree and I have been working not to make this a habit, however today just didn’t allow me to eat early enough to call it quits by 7!

I headed to bed by 10:30pm because I was so exhausted . . . could you believe I was up by 12:30am starving? My body is not liking the TurboFire Inferno Plan this week… this waking up seems to be a theme and I think my body is trying to tell me something.

It all made sense when I woke up today and saw how many calories I had burned…

2,786 CALORIES!

Can you believe that? I definitely need more calories in my system on the days that I work… time to re-vamp my eating plan.

Day 3 of TurboFire C-O-M-P-L-E-T-E!

I just recently had to refill my stock of Click Espresso Protein Drink from the Vitamin Shoppe.

Click has become my breakfast staple item! The flavor is just the beginning of this amazing drink. I won’t go off on all the great benefits of Click Espresso Protein Drinks, however I will state one thing that I have experienced. Working in a hospital, I have little to no time to eat. Once I hit the floor running, I have to make an effort to just get away for a 30 minute lunch. I’m usually starving by 10am and then miserable till I can sneak away to eat. After discovering Click Espresso Protein Drink, my appetite is held over till lunch. I’ve now had to make an effort to eat so I can get to my calorie range… a strange and unusual feeling!

It was on rare occasions that my family and I would visit Marie Callender’s as a child. But I always knew exactly what I would be ordering before I even set foot in their doors; Chicken Pot Pie. The ultimate choice of comfort food, loaded with creamy chicken and vegetables on the inside with a butter crust on the outside. A perfect combination with corn bread and butter for a cold winter’s day. . . that is if you aren’t too worries about the calorie count.

It didn’t dawn on my till I grew up why our family visits to Marie Callender’s was so rare. Did you know that one Chicken Pot Pie from Marie Callender’s has over 40g of fat and 630 calories. That’s a whooping 17 Weight Watchers PointsPlus Points! And not to mention I ate my share of corn bread along side the pie.

While my resistance to visiting Marie Callender’s has held strong for all these years, my resistance to Chicken Pot Pies has not. Luckily my Chicken Pot Pie Recipe has well over half the amount of calories and nowhere near the amount of fat as Marie Callender’s Chicken Pot Pie.

You can either make this recipe into Chicken Pot Pie Soup or you can add the finishing touches to complete the “Pie” in Chicken Pot Pie. Fill free to add or subtract your favorite vegetables. For this recipe you will find turnips, which were substituted for potatoes. This reduced the calorie count and Weight Watchers PointsPlus Points. Don’t be afraid to try them, after thoroughly cooked, they taste just like a potato.
