Did you know that today is National Flag Day? Yep, my great friend Sarah informed me yesterday that today was that day… thank God for Friends!
On June 14, 1777, Congress adopted the official United States Flag. At that time the flag displayed thirteen stars on the field of blue in the upper left-hand corner with alternating strips of seven red and six white. However, it wasn’t until 1949 that congress passed as act establishing a National Flag Day. To this day on the week of June 14, people are urged to hang their American Flag in front of their house with pride.
Unfortunately for me, I don’t have a place to hang a flag since I live in a dorm. Therefore, we decided to take a picture of the flags hanging at the front of the school. Sadly they were at half mass today due to the death of one who had served in our community. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I think too many times I take for granite the American freedom and the toll it takes of those serving our country. I can’t thank those enough who are serving our country.
To celebrate National Flag Day, my friends and I kicked it off with a trip to Dutch Bros Coffee.
If you haven’t tried Dutch Bros. Coffee than you are definitely missing out. By far wipes Starbucks out of the water with their amazing taste of coffee and fun drinks. All which can be made sugar-free / fat-free unlike most coffee shops where only a select few syrups are sugar-free!
Some of my all time favorites are following:

Happy belated flag day!!
I love Dutch Bros.!!!! Way better than Starbucks in a million years….
