While everyone was out celebrating the 4th of July with friends and family at BBQs and watching fireworks, I was rocking the Red, White and Blue Scrubs. Well, at least I tried.
Officially grown up, I now have the pleasure of working holidays. And while I may or may not have had a bad attitude going into work, I soon realized that my patients has it off much worse than I do. A little self-pity turned to guilt quiet fast as I expected most of my patients would be simply drunk, whom made one too many bad decisions with fireworks. When in actuality, all my patients were quiet very sick last night.
Best view from all of Phoenix was found on the 7th floor of my hospital over looking all of Phoenix. . . and I thought I would be watching fireworks off my iPhone app. God continues to surprise me with HIS small gifts.

Work was super hectic, between hanging blood all night, drowning people with morphine, and calming screaming women, the night flew by.
In between the hustle and bustle of the night, I found myself starving around 2am. Unlike most nights where a salad at this time sounds disgusting, I actually found it quiet appealing.
And of course no salad is complete without grilled chicken! Combine this with a few saltine crackers and I am was set!
Once I got home I headed straight for the jar of peanut butter. A jar of peanut butter and one starving and tired girl = Danger.
I think for now on I might being in a pre-made Green Monster Smoothie to drink on the way home.
Well, I’m off to get my Turbo Kick on. Don’t forget to enter for a chance to win Corazona Oatmeal Squares.

I always grab a jar of PB every night when I’m hungry
Quite dangerous indeed!
Oh I can do a lot of damage with PB. Actually, I have not had a jar in the house in almost a year now for that very reason.
Hi Ruth! Thank you for the comment on my blog. I looked at quite a few posts on your blog this morning and think it is wonderful and with a good vision of women of all ages being fit too. I love that. I’ll definitely be back!
Thanks so much! I look forward to seeing you around here.
If only my husband would agree to not have peanut butter in the house. I’m totally find with it in the house until I get home from work and self-control is out the window.
