One of the many down falls to a healthy diet is the snacking or mindless eating that goes on in between meals. A few chips here, a hand full of M&Ms there, and a small bowl of cereal can add up quickly in calories if you aren’t including them into your daily-allotted calorie intake.

However, if utilized correctly, snacking in between meals can actually aid in faster weight loss. Rather than simply eating three meals a day, adding a few snacks in between will keep your metabolism running high throughout the day.

With the wide variety of snacks to choose from, it can be easy to fall into the “Snack Trap” with high fatty foods such as cheese-its, chocolate, and donuts. These snack labeled foods are easy to grab while on the go, but not very nice to the waistline. Planning out healthy snacks is a great way to prevent you from entering the “Snack Trap.”

Here is one snack that you will definitely want to make an appearance into your diet. It’s simple, easy, and only 3 ingredients. Whether you are a mid-morning, late afternoon, or midnight snacker, these are perfect for a low carb snack, high in protein.

I always love simple! Some times you just don’t have enough time in the day to make full blown recipes.
