In Exodus of the Bible, Egypt experienced 10 plagues including locust, flies, and frogs. I’m pretty sure my house is experiencing the 11th plague as I speak. Little Gnats are everywhere! From the kitchen sink to the bathroom and now in our living room, they are everywhere. Last year we had the same problem, thinking it is because the dorm is empty and therefore the water pipes aren’t in use. However this year is 10x worse. These little guys are courageous too… they will jump in my cereal bowl if I don’t watch it. So the husband and I set up a battlefield… it’s WAR NOW!
I woke up this morning feeling like I hit a wall of bricks. You know that feeling when you sleep so hard that your face hurts. Yeah… that was me this morning. Crossing my fingers that I was able to sleep in till at least 8 or 9, to my surprise the phone said 11am! This is record-breaking sleep time people!
Waking up so late threw me for a loop on my eating schedule. Instead of jumping to my usually eggs or oatmeal, I opted to make a run to Costco. Unfortunately waking up late also meant that the heat was in full swing and sure enough it took over me the second the door opened.
This weather turns people crazy I tell you. People were cursing at each other left and right in the parking lot to find a parking spot, one lady almost ran right into me. And talk about shopping cart rage… the heels of my feet were being attacked from all the carts. The things heat can do to someone!
The one reason why I go to Costco is for their samples! Nothing beats free food. Some of the best samples were out today between the veggie egg rolls, jalapeno dip on pita chips, and hummus on bagel thins. Sadly my stomach has not been feeling too well these past too days. But I did score on some G2 Gatorade and Lipton Diet Green Tea with coupons… Watch out Extreme Couponers
Getting home I figured maybe I need to eat something but I didn’t want to overdo it since I work tonight. I played it safe with a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. You know you aren’t feeling good when just one bowl is enough.
So much for working out before work… Operation Right & Tight must wait for tomorrow unless I feel creative to exercise around the floor while my patients are sleeping.
